carwash

the automatic carwash is a super handy super gigantic super awesome machine. also handy is that machine that counts the coins for you at the grocery store. the part thats no good though, is how we have to pay the machines to help us out. i understand being obligated to pay a person for washing the car, or counting coins. work was done, someone spent their energy, time, etc; its worth something. but these robots don’t wish they were somewhere else, they aren’t counting down till the end of the shift, raising families or paying down student loans.

i say fuck paying for basic robot-provided semi-public services that we the people would otherwise a) just do ourselves or b) pay a someone else to do. right? cause when i think of flying cars and future cloud cities, i think of handy robots and machines that help us do all types of things, and i never imagine giving them my future-dollars in exchange. the robots should be working for all of us. and i dont think its fair to impress western cut-throat capitalism onto an emerging consciousness like the robots. that just can’t work out in our favor over time.
